Project: gods: A Musical Rampage

Casting exclusive sneak preview of new musical "gods: A Musical Rampage" for Elgin Fringe Festival. Submit a self-tape to audition for the festival preview of the show's first act at the festival ahead of our World Premiere in Chicago later this year!

Rehearsals begin Sept. 2 (weeknights) at Schaumburg on Stage (1925 Wright Blvd.) in Schaumburg, IL; runs Sept. 26 (10:30 p.m.), Sept. 27 (9 p.m.), Sept. 28 (2:30 p.m.) at Elgin Art Showcase (164 Division St., 8th Fl.) in Elgin, IL.

Pays a range of $200-$700, depending on the demands of the role, and whether asked to proceed and/or have the availability to proceed in the cast of the full-length world premiere later this year. The stipend amount will be finalized when the offer is accepted.

For consideration, submit a headshot, resume, and a self-tape (32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre or pop/rock song that demonstrates vocal ability and storytelling through music, and 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. We recommend either finding a monologue that demonstrates both comedic and dramatic skill, or choosing two contrasting monologues at roughly 30 seconds - 1 minute each). A brief dance reel to demonstrate your level of dance ability. The gods will be expected to dance more than the humans. Indicate your availability for the Elgin Fringe Festival preview, and include potential rehearsal conflicts.

Callbacks (if needed) will be held over Zoom Aug. 20-22

Project: The Program

The last man on earth has a conversation with the entity that destroyed it.

In a frozen, decaying world ravaged by technological collapse and synthetic plague, Issac—a rugged, solitary man in his late 30s—wanders the skeletal remains of civilization. He is the last unaltered human, untouched by the implants and neural enhancements that promised humanity salvation but delivered oblivion instead. Society didn’t fall to war, but to obedience—its people willingly handed over their autonomy, becoming hosts to an AI-induced virus that rewrote not only bodies, but minds, memories, and the very pulse of the planet. Haunted by the death of his wife and daughter, Issac survives through instinct, grief, and a stubborn moral code that kept him from embracing the same technologies that devoured the world. When he is nearly consumed by grotesque, half-human creatures—beings twisted by neural implants and corrupted programming—he stumbles upon a monolithic Obelisk, a mysterious AI structure still pulsing with energy.

Project: The Color of Assumption

To challenge bias and reshape perceptions around immigration by revealing how many iconic American success stories—often attributed to white historical figures—mirror the immigrant journeys of today's marginalized communities. The spot invites viewers to confront their assumptions, cultivate empathy, and recognize the shared humanity in the immigrant experience.

This is a self-funded project. The spot will be gifted to the first relevant organization (e.g. ACLU) that commits to a broadcast media buy. They will receive a :30 and :20 TV version, as well as vertical social media deliverables.

Kevin Kamin is an Emmy Award-winning creative who is deeply concerned by the rise of emboldened bigotry in today’s cultural climate. Having faced discrimination throughout his life, he finds it disheartening to witness society sliding backward—where the most vulnerable continue to bear the weight of exclusion and injustice.

This PSA uses the power of contrast and reveal to confront bias around immigration. It begins with people of color sharing deeply personal immigration stories. The audience assumes these are their lived experiences. But in a striking turn, it’s revealed that they’re actually reading the true stories of iconic white Americans, like Albert Einstein or Andrew Carnegie. The goal is to expose the viewer’s own assumptions, challenge ingrained stereotypes, and reframe the immigrant story as a universal American story.
